Fall is on it’s way

The temperature is dropping and thankfully it’s starting to rain. We aren’t looking forward to the rainy season, but for the sake of the fires around us and the hazardous smokey air, it will help. Of course, forest fires and rain bring other problems like flash flooding and landslides. We continue to be grateful we aren’t

End of Summer

It’s been a fast year since the move and things are starting to settle down. My parents managed to make a visit at the end of August to see the Solar Eclipse. We were not in the path of totality, but just outside it. While we didn’t get the totality effect, the midday sunset accompanied

The staff at Wilco were mostly helpful and answered some of our ore mundane starter questions without too much “omg – these

It’s been a massive flurry of activity the last several weeks. We closed on the property on May 25th and immediately started to clean up and move in. I had a chance to catch up on the blog while working out of town this week – it’s a much-needed rest! The property has been neglected for

Almost There!

We have some great news! The appraisal came in at value and the lender has issued the final documents. We close this next week and will begin moving in next Wednesday. Here are some teaser photos of the property.
