Roasted Tomatillo Salsa Verde

As requested – here is our Roasted Tomatillo Salsa Verde. I’m glad we overplanted these. Since everything did so poorly, we ended up with a small batch of excess tomatillos. The trick on this Salsa Verde is to know when to harvest the tomatillos and get a mix of ripe, overripe, and almost ripe fruit.

Automatic Chicken Coop Door

Keeping chickens safe is tricky depending on how far you want to go in creating a chicken friendly safe environment. I’ve seen some pretty impressive chicken coops with attached enclosed runs with buried metal mesh and other fancy predator controls. Those are nice, but we have other projects that require that finite resource of money

Wildfires 2020
