Our Garden didn’t do as well this year – or at least as quickly. I think the spring weather and cooler start to the growing year had an impact. Some plants didn’t even take off at all (we had stumpy cruddy corn and the beans and snap-peas died out). All that said – it’s still

Honey Harvest 2019

Our three hives are all thriving and we decided it was time to pull some honey frames. Our White hive is in its second year had a full super of 10 frames ready to go and about 50% of the second super has honey (but not quite ready). The Carniolans (Red Hive) had five good

New Chicks

As time goes by when farming – you will eventually lose chickens to predators. Our owl from last year came back and took out two of them recently – our favorite Terrance and one of the Rode Island Reds. This leaves us with 5 hens and the 2 roo’s. Time to get new chicks! Bridge
