Before the weather changed – we managed to get our first phase of the Summer Kitchen / Pantry completed. Just a reminder – here is where we left off – the pantry was framed in – but nothing else really done.

We finished the insulation for the ceiling and walls and electrical. After making sure everything is rodent proof – we added some plastic shelving and moved in.

We are pretty happy with the way the space worked out-and have enough room for some good growth. Our average temp in the space is around 45 degrees – a bit warmer than we want. This spring we will need to add some additional ventilation and probably a cool bot driven AC unit to get it cool enough to use as a secondary “root cellar” type storage space.

We will start working on the Kitchen side after the start of the new year – currently, it’s cluttered with quite a bit of stuff for storage.
